Welcome to our Sunflower Stuga…
The Sunflower Stuga (Stuga is Swedish for cabin) sleeps 8 friends and is surrounded by the solitude of fields and forests while still just minutes from St. Paul, MN. Decorated to make you feel relaxed, comfortable and at home, and created with groups of friends spending time together in mind.
Bed & Bath
There are three bedrooms at Sunflower Stuga. Two are on the main level and the third is on the ground walkout level. The house sleeps up to 8 people. The upper two of the bedrooms each sleeps two, one has two twins while the other has one queen bed. The lower level bedroom is one of the larger rooms in the house and houses 4 twin beds. Every bed has fitted sheets and sham pillows ready for you. There is plenty of room for extra bags so don’t skimp on the packing. The two full baths are similarly situated with one on the upper and one on the lower level. We also provide hand towels in each of the two bathrooms.
Our craft room has eight spacious work stations. Each consists of a 5ft wide worktables with a comfy cushioned chair. Low light is the worst thing when crafting so we have superb track lighting throughout the entire room. Available for use is a Cricuit Expression (holds up to 12X12 paper) and numerous Cricuit cartridges, a large Xyron machine, many punches and stamps. Also provided is a PC computer and color printer/scanner/copier to meet all your needs. There is also a small refrigerator and a stereo with surround sound and an IPod dock within the workspace area for those of you that like to tap your toes while working.
We have done our best to stock our kitchen with everything you should need during your stay at Sunflower Stuga. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the necessities needed to put together meals during your stay including dishwasher, microwave and more. There are several delicious restaurants offering take out menus, provided for you, in the area as well. With it’s warm feel and country charm we’re sure that it will make you feel at home during your stay. We also provide you dozen farm fresh organic eggs courtesy of our chickens, that may wander by to say hello.
Dining & Living Room
Enjoy the view of the fields and wildlife! Hopefully a deer or two will cross the field during your stay. Also frequenting the area are pileated woodpeckers, red tailed hawks, turkeys, pheasants, fox and coyotes. If you crack the windows at night you just might hear them serenading you late one night. The TV/DVD is there with the remotes in the basket on the coffee table. We also have a variety of Chick-Flicks in the cabinet below the TV. Help yourself.
