Where are you located?

We are minutes from downtown St. Paul! Within a few miles of Downtown Stillwater, Minnesota.

Policies

Please read through this document for all our policies. By booking with Sunflower Stuga you agree to all our policies.

What are your rates?

Weekend rental rate, Friday through Sunday, is $900 – that’s less than $60 per night for a group of eight. Add a Thursday or Monday night for just $175 more per night!

Weekday rental, Monday through Thursday, rates are $225.

Minnesota sales tax will be added to these prices.

What time are check-in and check-out?

Weekend retreat check-in is at noon on Friday with check-out at 6pm Sunday.  Weekday check-in is noon with check-out by 6pm. Special arrangements for early arrival and late departure can be made on a per case basis the week of rental.

How much space is there for each person to work?

Each person has a 5-foot table with overhead lighting, and an adjustable cushioned office chair. 

What scrapbooking tools are provided?

We have a Cricut Expression machine with several cartridges (a new pad and blade for each booking), Lg and Sm Zyron machines, paper cutters,  embosser and deckle cutters, many stamps and ink pads, cutting mats, a variety of scissors, punches, pens, idea books plus a lot more! We also have a stereo/cd player with iPod dock and mini fridge in the workroom.

What other crafting supplies do you have available?

We have an iron and ironing board, glue guns, cutting mats, extension cords, and other supplies needed for crafts such as quilting, card making, knitting, beading and more.

Tell us about the sleeping arrangements and bathrooms?

There are two bedrooms on the upper level, one has two twin beds and the other has one queen bed. The lower level has one large bedroom with 5 twins beds.  Each bed has a fitted sheet and a pillow with a sham case.  Please supply your own cover/blanket and additional pillows. There are two full bathrooms. One on each level. We have our own septic so we please ask that you only flush toilet paper. Hand towels are provided. Please bring your own bath towels/robes if needed

What about food for our stay?

Each group provides their own food for their stay.  Our kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare your meals.  There is also information on several local restaurants is posted at the cabin.

What if I don’t have a group of eight?

The minimum cost per weekend is $850.

What is required of us when we leave?

We ask that you leave Sunflower Stuga as you found it. There will be a check out page in your contract packet. Please take off sheets and put them in the laundry room, load and run the dishwasher, take out all trash and recycling, collect and take all food items from your stay and wipe down as needed. We do clean before each weekend.

Where do we park?

We have a turn around which allows you to unload your crafting supplies to the lower level workroom. Please then bring the car around to unload other items and to park by the upper-level driveway. Please carpool when possible!

How do I make a reservation?

First, check the online calendar to check on availability.  If you find dates that you are interested in please contact the owner, Amy, at sunflowerstuga@gmail.com.  Once availability is confirmed you will be sent a contract packet.  This packet includes everything you need to plan your stay at the Sunflower Stuga.  Once you book a stay at Sunflower Stuga, you have first priority to book it for the next year!

What is the payment/cancellation policy?

A deposit of $150 is due 30 days from the booking date. The balance of the payment is due 30 days before you arrive at Sunflower Stuga. If you cancel your stay less than 30 days prior to arrival your rental fee is non-refundable. Please read through this document for all our policies. By booking with Sunflower Stuga you agree to all our policies.

Do you have internet access?

Yes, we do have a wireless internet connection.

What else do I need to know?

Sunflower Stuga is smoke and pet free. Our TVs are Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu equipped (with your account) but you can also bring your own DVDs or watch a movie from our “chick flick” library. The Gateway Trail is nearby for biking and hiking.

I am a rep for a local scrapbook supply company. Can I leave my card with you to share my information?

Yes. There is a board by the red information desk in the Stuga where we hope that people will share their skills/information! Lots of creative people come our way!

Do you have a guest book at the Stuga?

Yes! In the Stuga there is a Guest Book. Please sign and share comments. We also would love if your group would create a page for our Sunflower Stuga Scrapbook during your stay!
