Facilities

• Sunflower Stuga is a smoke-free environment. Inside and outside.
• No pets allowed
• Rental groups receive exclusive use of cabin and workroom supplies.
• All guests are to furnish their own food, towels, sleeping bags and/or bedding and toiletries.
• Sunflower Stuga has all tile floors on upper level and all carpet on lower level.
• Feel free to walk on roads, not the paths, when staying with us.
• The Stuga is located in a residential area, please carpool whenever possible.
• The country roads can be slippery. Please drive with care.
• The Stuga is located at 10480 114^th Street, last driveway on your right with sunflower mailbox.

General Guidelines

• Sunflower Stuga does not administrate programming; provide classes or an on-site group coordinator.
• Groups will be provided with an emergency contact however a contact person is not provided for non-emergency needs (i.e. computer or tool problems).
• Food is not included in this rental agreement.
• Sunflower Stuga does not assume responsibly for any items of personal property or items that are left, lost or stolen.

Occupancy

• There is a maximum occupancy of eight guests. Larger groups allowed only by prior arrangement with the K & A.
• Children under ten years of age are welcome at Sunflower Stuga with prior arrangement with the K & A Holdings I.
• No subletting is allowed.
• Overnight guests are only allowed when GROUP is present.

Check in & Check out

• Your official check in time is 12pm.  Your official check out time is 6:00PM.
• Early check in/late check out may be arranged.

Phone

• Sunflower Stuga has a phone available for guest use. Guests may receive calls at Sunflower Stuga.
• The Stuga phone number is 651-351-5431
• There is NO long distance service on the phone provided. Guests must bring their own phones.
• There is a binder available in the red desk with local restaurants and visitor attractions.
• As it is a very common question, the only Pizza delivery in our area is the Willernie Dominos. Phone number is 651-429-4252

Linens

• Please remind your group to bring their own bedding and towels.
• Sunflower Stuga provides bottom sheets and pillows with pillowcases on all of the beds.
• Sunflower Stuga will provide kitchen towels and hand towels for the bathrooms.

Bedrooms & Living Area

• Main level contains two bedrooms. One with a queen bed (for the hostess) and the second with two twin beds.
• Lower level has a large bedroom with 5 twin beds.
• Please note the baseboard heating elements.  Adjust temp as needed.
• We appreciate you leaving the furniture in bedrooms as is so that the bedding does not cause a fire.
• TV/DVD with remote and chick flicks too! One in the workroom and one in the living room.
• IPOD dock in upper level and in workroom.

Kitchen

• Coffee maker, toaster, blender, teakettle, baking sheets, baking dishes, crockpot, pots, pans and kitchen utensils are available for guests use. A complete inventory is available on the website.
• Dishwashing soap will be provided
• Dishes and silverware will be provided (napkins/paper towels too)
• Please Note: There is no disposal in the kitchen. Please rinse dishes before putting them into the dishwasher.
• All coolers must be kept outside of the house. We have had damage to the floors due to moisture from the coolers.
• There are trash/recycling bins by garage door. Please put all trash/recycling in these bins and do not leave any trash bags on the kitchen floor.

Crop & Work Room

• TV with DVD player
•  Wireless Internet Access
• Lower level access to make unloading of your crafting supplies easier
• A complete list of crop room supplies is available on the website. Currently available: Cricut Expression machine with several cartridges, Zyron machine, computer, printer, cutters, trimmers, punches, setters, templates and many stamps/ink pads. New items will be added.
• There are 8 five-foot tables in the crop room with comfy work chairs.
• If you rearrange the tables in the crop room we ask that you pick the tables up to move them. Please do not drag the tables across the floor as this has caused damage to our tables.
• Do not run any adhesive through the printer
• Please make sure you have an appropriate, hard surfaced setting board before setting eyelets. Do NOT use windowsills, countertops or tabletops for setting eyelets (unless you are using a strong board). We have had considerable damage done to our crop room due to eyelets being set without boards.
• Please familiarize yourself with the Cricut before using it. Directions are in drawer if needed. There will be a new blade and cutting mat for each group.
• Feel free to use magnet frames for sharing ideas.
• Please feel free to email me photos from your stay so we can add them to our website guestbook. Or, feel free to make a Scrapbook page for our book during your stay.

Bathroom

• There are two bath/showers and two toilets at the Sunflower Stuga
• We have our own septic system, which can be very sensitive. We ask that you do not flush anything other than toilet paper.
• Extra linens and towels are in upper level hallway closet. Extra personal items, should you forget, are in the upper level bathroom closet. Please help yourself.

Parking

• We have cleared some additional parking spaces along the driveway by the garage.
• There are two driveways at Sunflower Stuga. The first is in the front of the house and should be used to unload your kitchen and bedroom supplies. The second drive is in the back of the house and brings you right up to the crop room doors. Use this driveway to unload all of your scraping supplies right into the crop room. Please then return car to parking spaces for your stay.

On Site Coordinator

• Please note that Sunflower Stuga does not provide an on-site coordinator. While groups will be provided with an emergency contact, a contact person is not provided for non-emergency needs such as computer or tool problems.

Accessibility

• Sunflower Stuga is a one-story home with one flight of stairs. At this time, Sunflower Stuga is not handicapped accessible.

Departure Check List: Before groups check out, we ask that you do the following.

1. Run dirty dishes and silverware through the dishwasher…you do not need to unload the dishwasher.

2. Wipe down as needed.

3. Remove all left over food and beverages from the refrigerator and cabinets.

4. Take bottom sheets/used pillowcases off the beds and place them in laundry basket in laundry room.

5. Empty the trash from bathrooms, kitchen, workroom and recycling into large receptacles out by garage. Brown Trash, Green Recycling

6. Close all of the windows

7. Return all furnishings to their original locations.

8. Set all thermostats: Winter to 60 degrees, other seasons please turn them all off.

9. Leave key in door on way out

1. Please, please, recycle when ever possible! Grant has a mixed recycling pick up. Bring all recycling to Green bin by garage when leaving. One recycling can is in laundry room and one in closet in kitchen.

Share your talents!! We invite your group to take a photo and create a page for our Sunflower Stuga Photo book. The pages are on display on magnet boards in workroom and then will be transferred to a scrapbook.

Driving Directions

Directions to Sunflower Stuga from Metro:

• Hwy 36 East towards Stillwater, MN
• Go North on Manning Ave (hwy 15)
• Follow through two stop light intersections
• and one stop sign intersection.
• Be on the look out for the Gateway Bike Trail Bridge (under construction until summer)
• then take next Left onto 110th Ave (look for guard rails and wooded surroundings)
• Continue and curve right onto Lansing Ave (paved road)
• Take next left on 114th Street.
• The Stuga is the last driveway on the right side.
• Look for sunflower mailbox and large 10480 sign.
• Follow gravel driveway back to the Stuga.

Please car pool when possible and drive with care on our country roads.

We ask that you unload as needed and return car to parking area.
